Work Comp billing/collections business is looking for a very strong Workers’ Comp collector/lien negotiator.

The right candidate will have a minimum of 2 years specific experience in settling medical providers’ liens. Must have excellent oral and writing skills, must know how to use Word and Excel, and have knowledge of EDEX and EAMS. You must also have understanding of billing issues including basic CPT and ICD coding, OMFS, and how to audit an account for unpaid or underpaid services. You will be personally responsible for resubmitting unpaid claims from the billing software. Knowledge of Labor Codes that apply to both treatment and medical/legal issues, recent Case Law, WCAB procedures, lien and DOR filing, etc. are all a part of this job.

As a collector, you will have a portfolio of accounts that you are responsible to manage, and a minimum monthly quota to achieve. Pay is based upon an hourly base pay plus percentage of your collections/settlements in the door. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation and sick, and health/dental insurance. Raises are based upon performance, and overall contribution to our office goals.
