**Sr. Project Manager with Experience in Solar** (Sacramento – Folsom Area)

DESCRIPTION
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning and implementation of projects from the estimate phase through its completion and is responsible for managing the project scheduling, document control, productivity, costs, and safety consistent with company policies and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures projects are supervised, and budgeted efficiently to contain costs and maximize profitability.
Develop project plans and associated communications documents.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Administer the activities of relevant project superintendents, vendors and subcontractors.
Develop and maintains customer relationships to enhance company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.
Monitor the overall safety issues on the project.
Perform and oversee the preparation of takeoffs for quantity surveys, project workforce production estimates, project schedules, and project proposals for any extras or added work that may be a part of the project.
Assist with the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules and promotes their efficient use.
Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Track project milestones and deliverables.
Develop and deliver progress WIP reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must have Commercial Solar Experience
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field or a minimum of 10+ years experience in heavy construction and estimating or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years experience budgeting, forecasting and scheduling materials and equipment and supervising jobsite productivity and personnel.
Experience developing and delivering sales presentations and negotiating contracts preferably in the construction industry is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas clearly verbally and in writing, and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the company, as well as customers/vendors.
Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding plan layouts, material deliveries and jobsite productivities.
Advanced PC skills with experience in MS office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required. Scheduling software such as MS Project experience is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
Familiar with human resources methodology regarding staffing, training, coaching and evaluating performance.
Demonstrates problem solving and negotiation skills.
Must drive for results, have ethics and values, conflict management, process management and is able to direct others in a professional manner.WORK CONDITIONS
Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
Travel may be required.Must have clean background and the ability to pass a drug screen
