SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST (SACRAMENTO)

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following temporary position:
     
    Social Media Specialist – to create a presence on MySpace, Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, YouTube, etc. Qualified candidate must have experience working with these sites, as well as, marketing experience to assist in selling our services via these avenues.
     

     
    Basic Requirements of the position:
     
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
     
    • Experienced in developing social media sites ( MySpace, Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, YouTube) and has strong understanding of current and emerging social media channels.
     
    • Minimum 3 years experience in public relations/communications.
     
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities simultaneously, while executing against key deliverables with excellence.
     
    • Stays current with changes in traditional and social media to deliver innovative programming.
     
    • Excellent verbal communication skills, overall writing and media writing skills
     
    • Understands needs and workings of TV, print, on-line and radio media on national, regional and local level.
     
    • Strong interpersonal /collaboration skills to work with employees at all levels within the organization.
     
    • Candidates must be able to work well with minimal supervision and manage their own workload and schedule.
     

     
    This is a temporary, hourly position paying $13.00 – $16.00 an hour based on experience.
