Fast growing international software company is seeking a Service Technician to perform product repair/maintenance for Trimble (survey, setup equipment used in construction projects) products while also supporting our customers. Primary Duties are:
- Direct interface with customers.
- Conduct repairs and calibrations on Trimble surveying equipment.
- Process related inventory transactions and required paper work that pertains to Service inventory management requirements.
- Assist with the management of customer contact information within TSI’s CRM database to insure accurate data recording.
- Assist/Support with end customer repairs that are shipped to TSI’s Rocklin Facility for processing.
- Manage service related tooling supplies (re-order and stocking levels) such as small hand tools, adhesives, etc.
- Assist with the development/documentation of training material.
Characteristics / Skills
- Excellent organizational and communication (both documentation and verbal) skills required
- Posses customer service skills (verbal communication through live customer interaction and phone support)
- Capable of understanding and following guidelines and requirements for supporting and servicing Trimble product.
- Posses analytical decision making skills and capable of working with little or no supervision.
- Strong computer skills. (i.e.: MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Data entry, etc.)
- Good time management skills. Ability to prioritize work based on customer requirements, while obtaining TSI service goals and objectives.
Education / Experience
- High School graduate
- 2 yr. Bachelor’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering (or in progress) or Minimum 3 years experience in electronics/mechanical/optical service repairs
