    What We Are Looking For:

    We are looking for the right person to fill our SEM/PPC Strategist position who possesses a love of online marketing, a passion for learning, and who is “just right” for our culture of teamwork, accountability and learning.

    Overview of Your Responsibilities:

    You would be responsible for managing multiple Adwords accounts totally $150K+ per month, leading conversion strategy meetings, and offering your expertise to our diverse client base. Other responsibilities include managing and testing ads, campaign build out, analysis, performance reporting and relaying your recommendations to savvy enterprise-level clients.     The right person would be given the opportunity to speak at conferences, contribute as a thought leader on our blog, and sharpen (and broaden) your skill set by working alongside of other experts in Analytics, SEO, online marketing, UX design, copywriting and more.

    SEM / PPC Specialist Position (The Details)

    Blast Advanced Media is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Paid Search (PPC) Marketing Strategist with strong analytical skills to join BAM’s online marketing team.​ For information about our analytics and online marketing company, please visit www.blastam.com

    Ideal SEM/PPC Strategist candidates will have proven experience with paid advertising, eagerness to keep up with best practices/​technologies, and an understanding of how PPC fits into an overall online marketing strategy.​

    The SEM/PPC Strategist will be involved in: client discovery process, researching keywords, campaign structure, bidding strategy, advertising strategy, display network management, creative testing, budget management, keyword maintenance, analysis and reporting.​ This position will be responsible for creating and presenting reports which outline the performance of paid advertising.​ The Strategist must be comfortable using statistical approaches to analysis and be able to accurately track and communicate results.​ This position will be client-facing, therefore applicants should be comfortable speaking publicly, creating presentations and thinking on their feet.​

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Research and generate keywords using keyword tools
    • Maintain keyword library including short and long tail keywords of all advertised brands, categories, and products
    • Analyze clicks through rates, conversion rates, ad positioning, and ROI using web analytics tools such Google Analytics and Yahoo Web Analytics
    • Work as part of a team to help build cohesive online marketing strategies
    • Track paid search competition and adjust campaigns as needed
    • Manage bids using various tools and technologies
    • Write and test persuasive ads that reflect brand personality while driving quality traffic
    • Set up tests and develop strategies for advertising on search engines
    • Work closely with SEO team to develop and write optimized landing pages
    • Be comfortable managing hundreds of campaigns for dozens of clients ($150K +​ Monthly spend)
    • Have a desire to learn, innovate and improve
    • Create reports and presentations for clients (management and executive level)
    • Provide content strategy and copywriting for landing pages, banner ads, calls to action on sites, and webpages using online marketing knowledge and creative writing skills
    • Optimize, analyze and produce content to improve user experience using content writing abilities

    Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college, Marketing, Computer Science or Communications majors preferred
    • 3+​ years of proven Paid Advertising management experience (AdWords, Bing, Yahoo)
    • Understanding of Google Analytics as a performance tracking tool
    • Strong analytical and logical skills
    • Able to manage day-to-day program execution
    • Excellent grammar and creative writing skills; knowledge of SEO and usability best practices is a plus
    • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to multi-task
    • A sharp mind with an ability to understand conceptual ideas
    • Willingness to learn and an insatiable appetite for learning
    • Highly organized with focused attention to detail (resumes with typos will not be considered)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Google Adwords Certification is highly desired.​ If the applicant is not currently certified, they will be required to obtain an Adwords certification shortly after being hired.​
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and/​or iWork Suite for Mac (Pages/​Numbers)
