Commercial electrical contractor is seeking a project manager/estimator.
Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Perform estimates for previously engineered jobs and design build projects
- Purchase light fixtures, switchgear, panels, generator and other specialty items
- Coordinate with other trades regarding scheduling or design
- Oversee designers and work closely with them to meet deadlines and to ensure accurate drawings
- Work closely with field superintendent to establish manpower levels needed on jobs
- Work with utility companies and AHJ
- Work closely with general contractors’ project managers and superintendents
- Process change orders
- Be responsible and accountable for the successful completion of projects
- Perform field visits
- Promote, establish and maintain business relationships
- Be familiar with installation methods
- Understand and interpret applicable codes
- Be familiar with market conditions in terms of labor rates and material costs
- Review purchase orders written by purchasing manager
- Process monthly billings
- Make sure job accounts are established at wholesale houses for larger projects

A college degree is preferred as is at least 3-5 years experience in an applicable role.
