Our Company is a small, fast-growing cleantech manufacturing company, based in Chico, CA. Our products are leaders in the small-scale biodiesel production market, and are renowned for their quality, design and performance. We are looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; someone who can employ existing skills and is unafraid of tackling new projects as the need arises.Primary Responsibility: Manage the design and implementation of new and existing product families. Must be adaptable, self-motivated and comfortable working in a small, fast-paced company environment.

Specific Requirements:
• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline, plus 5
years experience required
• Project and personnel management skills are crucial.
• Must be able to hit production deadlines and manage inventory levels to
prevent crucial shortages. Initiative will be required in helping production
workers to hit deadlines and in keeping them productive and on task.
• A good working knowledge of common manufacturing and fabrication
processes is necessary, and applicant must be adept in design of sheet metal
shapes and weldments.
• Technical expertise must include the following: Fluid mechanics and piping,
thermodynamics, heat transfer, machine design (including basic electrical),
and basic automation and controls.
• Must have proficiency in parametric 3D CAD software, such as Autodesk
Inventor and be capable of producing accurate packages of working drawings
and other documentation for manufacturing.
• Must demonstrate good computer skills and be well versed in word
processing, spreadsheet and database software.
• Applicant must be able to communicate clearly and correctly in written form,
and be able to produce process descriptions, detailed quotes, and technical
manuals which are clear and correct.
• Good problem solving skills are crucial; applicant must be able to take
ownership of challenging problems until they are solved.
• Hands-on assembly and fabrication will be required from time to time.
• Applicant must have the ability to troubleshoot equipment and communicate
effectively over the phone and in person.
