One of the leading web development firms in Sacramento is looking for a highly motivated web developer with PHP/MySQL experience, this is a junior position and a great opportunity for recent graduates. This position requires you to work with our senior developer, project managers, and graphic designers to translate business logic into programming logic.

Areas of Responsibility:
• Implementation and integration of open source CMS applications in PHP, including custom (Drupal & Wordpress) module development
• Develop cross browser compatible websites using hand-coded HTML/DHTML using CSS
• Implementation of JavaScript/AJAX where needed to enhance websites
• Troubleshoot software bugs

Qualifications:
• 2+ Years of hard-coding HTML experience. WYSIWYG coding will not be considered.
• 2+ Years of experience building websites with PHP
• 2+ Years of experience working with Drupal and/or Wordpress
• Experience interfacing with MySQL databases
• Involved in the Open Source community
• Ecommerce experience a plus
• AJAX experience a plus
• Knowledge of cross-browser portability problems and solutions
• Technical understanding of how Web servers and browsers work
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Respect for deadlines and the value of achieved commitments
• BS in CS or equivalent experience
