Seeking a Fiscal/Strategy Analyst that will contribute to the overall efforts by reviewing, researching and analyzing a broad range of financial and legal information, and translating this research into useable national policy and legislative tools to pass laws related to the effective use of funds, and heighten national awareness related to the importance of the effective use of fund in our schools and districts. Key Responsibilities
•Maintain relentless commitment to creating and enabling policy practices that prioritize achievement and educational opportunity through the effective use of funds;
•Review current and proposed laws and regulations and analyze the potential alignment to the company’s policy agenda;
•Draft model statutory language and state-specific amendments to proposed legislation engaging;
•Develop and write policy documents of trends related to the effective use of resources;
•Collaborate with other policy organizations to synthesize other research and policies related to fiscal strategy in the states and districts; and
•Collaborate with staff, national and local partners, and others to ensure policies are enacted with broad support among state and community stakeholders.

Skills and Knowledge required
•Experience in writing policy positions, legislative drafting experience preferred;
•Ability to read and interpret complex financial and legal information;
•Ability to perform high level analysis that synthesizes large amounts of often ambiguous information;
•Ability to develop excellent written documents that clearly communicate a variety of financial concepts;
•Ability to manage multiple projects, work within tight deadlines and prioritize work as necessary;
•Ability to work and communicate concepts to audiences and constituents of diverse backgrounds;
•Experience providing training and guidance to a wide variety of audiences: internal employees, external constituencies.
•Bachelor Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Business Administration or a related field.
