Position Description
FINANCIAL ANALYST
COMPANY: A national financial restructuring firm founded in 1993 that services the real estate, retail and restaurant industries is seeking a full time financial analyst in its Roseville, California office.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for assisting Partners, Consultants and Senior Analyst with financial analysis and special projects.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- 1. Analyze and research large amounts of data and business trends.
- 2. Reviews and analyzes detailed lease/loan agreements/other real estate documents and develops summaries for consultant use.
- 3. Conducts budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- 4. Coordinates data input from various sources; collecting, synthesizing and presenting information.
- 5. Develops financial models and creates Excel and Power Point “client-ready” presentations.
- 6. Works with Partners, Consultants and Senior Analyst on various projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analyses
Proven ability at developing financial models and working with large datasets.
Experienced in preparing presentations in Power Point or similar programs
Proven project management skills; ability to organize, manage, and track multiple projects simultaneously
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills; able to think creatively outside of the box.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively both independently and within a diverse, cross-functional team environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required (Filemaker experience helpful).
Organized and detail-oriented; able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and complete multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
Results-oriented team player with a positive attitude
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required.
EXPERIENCE: 3 – 5 years finance, accounting and/or lease administration experience required.
