Position Expectations and Responsibilities

Title: Driver: Commercial, Class “A” non-HazMat.
 
Intra-California, Over-The-Road, Refrigerated.
 

 
Terminal: Sacramento, Sacramento Based.
 

 
Major goals: A BevHAUL Logistics Class “A” Driver must possess the license, skill, experience, and ability to safely and efficiently operate a class 8 commercial vehicle pulling 53’ dry and refrigerated trailers, in all conditions. Safety consciousness and practice is priority at all times. If it’s not Safe we don’t do it. Drivers must be self-starting, professional, and courteous at all times. Drivers must take responsible care of all equipment they operate, report any issues or repair needs, and be independently responsible to meet all regulatory compliance requirements including, but not limited to, drug and alcohol free operation of vehicles, traffic laws, weight restrictions, and hours of service rules.

Qualifications: Required
 
- Current California (or State of residence) issued CDL Class “A”
 
- 5 years recent, verifiable, and continuous Class 8 experience
 
- Over-the-road and inter-city (LA, SAC, Bay) experience
 
- 3 points or less on DMV – CDL driving record for past 3 years
 
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Medical Certification
 
- Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment and subsequent random
 
- Drug and Alcohol screen, and background check.
 
- Demonstrated ability to safely and legally operate Class 8 truck, with 53’ refrigerated trailer, at max weights.
 
- We run clean log-books, and we mean it! If you can’t run clean don’t apply.
 

 
Preferred (but not required):
 
- Warehousing experience
 
- Refrigerated / Temperature Controlled experience
 
- Background knowledge of safety standards
