We’re looking for one or two PART TIME associates who can work Sundays and most weekdays from at least 10:15am to 3pm. Sometimes we hold events at other times but these are our core hours.
HERE IS WHAT OUR BUSINESS DOES:
A Dash of Panache is a multi-faceted business in Downtown Roseville. The front of the building hosts a family-oriented Cafe serving awesome sandwiches, gourmet salads, soup, lattes, smoothies, and handmade Gunther’s ice cream. The middle of the building has an award-winning French-Deco Tea Parlor where multi-course gourmet tea meals are served as well as hosting Baby & Bridal Showers, Ladies Night Out, business meetings and seminars. The back room is a beautiful Party Room where full-blown themed girls birthday parties are held (Royal Princess, Diva Salon, Crazy Hair Salon, Tea Birthday Party, etc.). We also have a Gift Shop that sells friendship-oriented items and tea products.
HERE IS WHAT OUR ASSOCIATES DO: Everything. From a LOT of food preparation, to hosting tea sittings and parties, to taking reservations, to cleaning toilets, to scooping ice cream (after washing hands from cleaning toilets!), dusting, scrubbing, answering phones, upselling products, etc. By the way, our team is awesome! High energy, polite, caring, and loving are great words that describe our team.
HERE ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE: You must be a wonderful person! You have to LOVE SERVING people! You must be PROACTIVE about cleaning things that need to be cleaned (dishes, tables, floors, toilets, sidewalks, windows, yourself)! You must be able to do math (adding, subtracting, percentages, and common sense)! We’d prefer if you have some past experience in restaurant work AND have references that can verify this (we’re tired of training people from the ground up). We play Christian music in our Cafe so you must be tolerant of that type of environment. You MUST be able to care enough about the business that you enjoy helping it grow through great customer service and selling products. You must LOVE children, old people, grumpy people, and overly happy people.
HERE ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST NOT HAVE: (seriously). If you need a job, any job, then this is NOT for you! We understand that it’s hard to get a job in this difficult economy but we can’t afford to be your temporary employer until you find something better. We’ll be investing a lot of time into you and we need you to really want to work HERE. We have had our struggles (in the past) with associates that are not happy people and who can’t be truly loving to our guests (all the time) and to their fellow coworkers. If you have mood swings, are dishonest, don’t like certain types of people, are lazy, pretend to have all the traits when you really don’t, or don’t fit in every aspect of what we’ve been trying to describe, then you should seriously skip this ad and go look somewhere else. We love you but don’t want you working here and it won’t be worth even filling out the application.
