APPROXIMATE HOURLY SALARY: $32.00- $35.28

The County of El Dorado is conducting this recruitment to one (1) extra help vacancy for the Air Quality Management District located in Placerville.

DUTIES: Typical duties for this position may include, but are not limited to:

- Reviewing and evaluating Authority to Construct applications for new emission sources.

- Developing new and amending existing rules to comply with requirements for addressing exceedance of Federal air quality standards.

- Conducting compliance inspections of stationary sources.

Candidates must possess

Equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with major coursework in chemical, mechanical, petroleum, combustion, or environmental air quality engineering, or a closely related field, plus three years experience in air quality engineering or a closely related field.

NOTE: The above qualifications are typically accepted way of obtaining the required knowledge and skills.

Must possess a valid California driver’s license. Must be able to obtain and maintain California Air Resources Board Certification for Visible Emissions Evaluation. Ability to climb ladders and towers and work in the presence of potentially hazardous or toxic materials.
