    Partial Job Description

    Requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty, and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

    Must have mastery of and ability to perform and supervise the performance of: Accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, perform bank reconciliations, payroll functions and opening/closing the accounting month/year.

    Additional accounting abilities include:

    • Accounting or Bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks

    • Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports

    • financial statement preparation/comprehension and analysis, audit and tax preparation

    (i.e., ability to present source documents/historical data to auditor/CPA)

    • Extensive spreadsheet capabilities, knowledge of word/text applications (MS Word, Excel)

    • Knowledge of accrual versus cash methods, all accounting steps through Trial Balance (General Journal posting, G/L analysis and reconciliation, etc.)

    • Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses

    • Reports organization’s finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts

    • Oversee payroll and billing personnel

    • Transmit weekly payroll taxes

    • Manage payroll withholdings

    • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures

    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks

    • May lead and direct the work of others

    • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

    • Other related duties

    • Reports to Controller or CEO
